Mintymix Wig Review

As I mentioned in my last post, I recently ordered a wig from Mintymix, heres the Review for it!

stock pic
on me with bangs cut
Besides the pink colour washing me out a little, I really like this wig! The fibers are soft and the wig itself if pretty thick. The wig is one of the wigs that are in stock at the moment (as i am too lazy to wait for the pre-order), I placed the order on a thursday night and received the tracking number the next day!

not to mention the packaging it came in was super cute and well done!

the wig itself: 5/5
really good quality for the price. The pink looks a little darker in the stock picture but its almost the same.

packaging: 4/5
I would have rather it been shipped in a solid box rather then a bubble envelope.

shipping: 5/5
super fast! I received the tracking number the next day.

overall: 4.5/5
I would defiantly recommend Mintymix!

outfit post!

Today I went a bit punky! I recently bought a Mintymix wig and have been looking for a good time to wear it! I'll do a review of it soon!

some simple co-ords

Heres some more simple co-ordinates that I put together this past week for spring, since all the now is melting now and everything is wet and muddy I've been trying to stay away from over the top skirts because they might get dirty. I've also been wearing striped tops (like my "wheres waldo" shirt in the last picture) lately. I've also been trying to match things to my rain boots.

Ideas For Spring tea

my mix matched tea cups!
A great Idea for a spring get together would have to be a tea party! With all the snow melting, the grass coming back and life returning in general! its a good time to sit back, relax with some friends and enjoy the weather before it becomes too warm.

If you like, try to make a mix matched tea set! Its a great way to show off all the different patterns and styles and lets your guests find a tea cup that suits them!

recent work

Surprise! I've been knitting again! I finished this hat the other day. I love the shade of purple and the warmth of the wool! It tuck me a while to make though because of the stitch it uses but its a great addition to my winter wardrobe!

Lately I've fallen even more in love with the site Ravelry, its such a great resource for anything that has to do with yarn really! If your stuck on something or are looking for something easy to knit its the best place to go! I know I've mentioned it before, I apologize.

If you want to see what I've been knitting check out my Ravelry, or look for the perfect pattern (for that thing you've been meaning to make) on ravelry!

RWB's Alice in Wonderland

As I mentioned a while ago I had tickets to the RWB this past wednesday. The ballet was very good! and surprisingly hi-tech.

The sets were simple but brilliant, to create a sense of a constantly shifting atmosphere they used a set of rectangle boxes that could be easily moved, and used various projections on them as well. We are used to a set backdrop and set scenes when we go to the ballet or theater and this was fun and refreshing!

My favorite scene was when Alice meets the duchess (who was played by a rather burly man), and they began to slow-motion wrestle. I loved the humor throughout the entire ballet, adding a bit of something you would see in Bugs Bunny into the mix, with "applause" and "help me" signs. The red queen (pictured above, with the mad hatter) was very demanding and full of life! actually using the megaphone on stage to shout various demands to the dancers and audience. The caterpillar piece was another of my favorites played by 3 people ( a women and 2 men) instead of one.

However the choreography was a bit on the simple side, opting for mimicking and repetition, rather then varied and complex movements.

Overall I would give it a 4 out of 5 because of the originality and interesting storytelling.

------
P.S. a great way to keep japan in your heart in your heart after this disaster is by donating. So much of our lives seem to revolve around things in japan and the culture there, so we should support them whatever way possible in their time of need.

you can pre-order this shirt from the salvation army to show your love (and donation) for japan.

Extremely long and incredibly flat.

I went out for a walk today in the cold and happend to take a picture on the train tracks, I live on the praries, theres no hills anywhere! This picture was taken in a nice neighborhood  close-ish to downtown, but the houses are still very nice.

These were also taken with my new camera!~ its a Nikon Coolpix S3000, and pretty good! I wanted my own point and shoot that I could take everywhere with me.

looking south

Then theres the smallest train I've ever seen! Sorry this post isn't really lolita related, I just thought the view was pretty neat.
